About
Edward Bell was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. His birth date is unknown. Edward's sister immigrated to the United States in 1910 and lived in Schenectady with her son. It's likely Edward arrived about the same time as his sister and may have stayed with her for a short time. His sister is listed as the person to contact on all of his military paperwork.
Edward enlisted in the United States Army. On March 30, 1918, he was deployed overseas aboard the USS President Lincoln. He was a Corporal in Company K of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. On July 22, 1918, during the Aisne-Marne Offensive, Edward was killed in combat. He is buried in the Aisne-Marne Cemetery and Memorial, France.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
For the Fallen
