World War I (1914-1918)

Alfred Peter Bramer was born in Russia, on August 2, 1892. By 1910, he was living in Schenectady, New York. Before joining the military, he worked for General Electric.


On March 30, 1917, Alfred enlisted in the United States Army. He was a sergeant first class serving with Company E, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On May 17, 1918, Alfred was sent overseas aboard the US Army troopship USS President Grant. On October 17, 1918, he was killed in battle during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
