Nicola Colantoni was born in Isnello, Italy, on December 18, 1892. On August 15, 1912, he arrived in the United States. Nicola worked as a painter at General Electric.
On May 11, 1918, Nicola enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private and served with Company D, 128th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. On July 30, 1918, Nicola was sent overseas aboard the Mauretania. Nicola died from wounds received during battle on November 24, 1918. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
