Harry Jay Fuller was born in Cohoes, New York, on May 30, 1894. When he was ten years old, he and his family moved to the city of Schenectady. Harry was an exceptional athlete; he was the top runner in Schenectady, held indoor sports records for the local YMCA, and played football for the Brockton football club in Mont Pleasant. He was a vaudeville acrobat with Robert Shank in the "King Brothers."
In April 1918, Harry enlisted in the United States Army. On June 4, 1918, he was sent overseas aboard the U.S. Army troopship RMS Adriatic. He was a sergeant serving with Company A, 353rd Infantry Regiment, 89th Infantry Division. Harry died of wounds sustained during combat in France on August 11, 1918. He is buried in Vale Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
