World War I (1914-1918)

Everett James Wemple was born in the Town of Duanesburg, Schenectady County, New York, on June 19, 1898. By 1916, he was living with his parents and younger brother on Palmer Avenue in the city of Schenectady. He was a student at Union College and a volunteer in their Student Army Training Corps. Everett was also an employee for the Morris Plan Bank.

On October 4, 1918, Everett enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private. On January 20, 1919, he died from scarlet fever at Camp Taylor, Kentucky. He is buried in the Park View Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
