World War II (1939-1945)

George Albert was born in Schenectady, New York, on July 13, 1918. He grew up in the Village of Scotia, Schenectady County, New York, with his family. He graduated from Scotia Glenville High School.

On October 15, 1940, George enlisted in the United States Army. He was a sergeant serving with Company H, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. During the Battle of Saipan, George was killed on July 9, 1944. He is buried in the National Memorial of the Pacific, Hawaii.
