Fulford James Aussiker, the son of Harry and Emma (Horstmyer) Aussiker, was born on April 7, 1923, in Schenectady, New York. He attended Oneida Junior High School, graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1942, and was employed by the General Electric Company.
On January 9, 1943, Fulford enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and served with the 341st Bomb Squadron, 97th Bombardment Group. Fulford was killed in action over Austria on November 25, 1944, and is buried in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
