William Aloyisius"Al" Connelly Jr. was born in Schenectady, New York, on July 24, 1917. He attended Mont Pleasant High School. William worked as a restaurant manager before joining the military.
In 1941, William enlisted in the United Army Air Corps. He held the rank of Corporal and served with the 2nd AAF. William died on a B-24 Flying Fortress en route to a battle zone in Italy on February 7, 1945. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
