Joseph "Joe" Stephen Hrusecky, the son of John and Mary Hrusecky, was born on January 10, 1921, in Schenectady, New York. He played football and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. Before enlisting in the military, Joseph worked at General Electric.
In August 1943, Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. In France, Belgium and Luxembourg, Joseph saw action. While fighting in Luxembourg on January 6, 1945, Joseph died from his injuries. He is buried in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery, Rotterdam, New York.
