Frederick George Martin Jr., the son of Frederick and Elsie Martin, was born on September 12, 1919, in Schenectady, New York. Before joining the military, he attended Jefferson Elementary and Draper High School.
In August 1941, Frederick enlisted in the United States Army. By 1943, he had attained the rank of Corporal. Frederick died on November 1, 1943, as a result of injuries sustained while driving in an Alaskan convoy. He is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
