World War II (1939-1945)

Costantino Joseph "Connie" Paone was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 17, 1919. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1938, and worked for the Pleasant Valley Packing Company.

On April 11, 1942, Costantino enlisted in the United States Army. He underwent his training at Camp Chaffee in Texas and Camp Cooke in California. He was a corporal serving with Headquarters Company, 9th Armored Infantry Battalion, 6th Armored Division. On December 17, 1944, Costantino was killed in battle in France. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
