World War II (1939-1945)

Antonio Dominick Posillico was born in Schenectady, New York, on February 25, 1917. He grew up in the village of Scotia in Schenectady County and was a student at Scotia-Glenville High School. Before entering the military he played football for the Scotia Blue Jackets, a semi-pro team, and operated a business that repaired shoes.

On March 15, 1942, Antonio enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He completed his basic training at Keesler Field in Mississippi. On December 9, 1943, Antonio died when the B-24E Liberator bomber he was a passenger on collided with La Mosca Peak in New Mexico; all nine army personnel aboard were killed.  He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
