Philip Leonard Sullivan, the son of Alfred and Beatrice (Delgado) Sullivan, was born on January 1, 1914, in Schenectady, New York. He attended Scotia Glenville High School and was a firefighter for Scotia. Before enlisting, Philip worked for the American Locomotive Company.
In July 1944, Philip enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 328th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. On March 22, 1945, Philip was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York.
