Glenn Wallace Turnbull, the son of Clarence and Myrtle (Siegel) Turnbull, was born on December 8, 1923, in Schenectady, New York. In 1941, he received his diploma from Mont Pleasant High School. When he enlisted, he was a student at Colgate University.
On May 26, 1943, Glenn enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. On January 15, 1945, he was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge. He is buried in Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam, New York.
