World War II (1939-1945)

Glenn Wallace Turnbull was born in Schenectady, New York, on December 8, 1923. He grew up on Broadway in the city of Schenectady, and in 1941, he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. When he entered the military, he was a student at Colgate University.

On May 26, 1943, Glenn enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. On January 15, 1945, he was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge. He is buried in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam, New York.
