Thomas Allen Williams was born on July 31, 1922, in Anniston, Alabama. With his wife Ruth, he relocated to Schenectady. Before joining the service, he worked as a mechanic.
On February 8, 1943, Thomas enlisted in the United States Navy. He held the rank of Electrician’s Mate First Class and was aboard the USS Dorado. On October 12, 1943, the USS Dorado sank off the coast of Panama, and Thomas was lost at sea. He is remembered on the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, Manhattan, New York.
