Korean War (1950-1953)

Stephen Cowles Hall was born in Schenectady, New York, on March 28, 1932. He grew up in the city of Schenectady, and in 1949 he graduated from St. Joseph's High School. 

In July 1949, Stephen enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He underwent his military training at Parris Island in South Carolina, Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, and Camp Pendleton in California. He was a private first class serving with Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On October 27, 1950, Stephen was killed in battle in North Korea. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, New York.
