World War II (1939-1945)

Morgan A. Jenkins was born in Glen Falls, New York, on February 26, 1921. It's unclear why he moved to the city of Schenectady after 1940; he lived on Summer Street.

On November 10, 1942, Morgan enlisted in the United States Army.  He was assigned to a military police battalion and was a private first class. He was stationed at Camp Pines in New York when he developed cancer, and in May 1943, he was admitted to Halloran General Hospital in Richmond, New York, for treatment, and on August 17, 1943, he died. He is buried in the Union Cemetery in Fort Edward, New York.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
