Alexander Campbell Biggerstaff was born on September 2, 1894, in Schenectady, New York. He was a well known figure in local athletic circles and played baseball with the Brandywine Avenue and Albany Street Nines. Alexander was a member of the General Electric Athletic Association.
Alexander enlisted in the United States Navy on June 7, 1918, and held the rank of Seaman Second Class. While Stationed in Pelham Bay Park, New York, he passed away from pneumonia. He is buried in Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
