World War II (1939-1945)

Angelo John Mineconzo was born in Glen Alum, West Virginia, on February 27, 1923. By 1930, he had moved to the city of Schenectady. In 1942, he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, and after graduation, he worked for General Electric.

On February 6, 1943, Angelo enlisted in the United States Army. He was a technician 5th grade serving with Company A, 60th Engineer Combat Battalion, 35th Infantry Division. On September 16, 1944, Angelo was killed in battle in France. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
