World War II (1939-1945)

Charles Kenneth Relihan was born in Schenectady, New York, on January 30, 1915. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and started his army career as a bugle boy when he was 15.

On August 23, 1940, Charles enlisted in the United States Army. He was a sergeant serving with Company A, 31st Infantry Regiment. During the Battle of Bataan, Charles was taken as a prisoner of war, and on November 3, 1942, he died. He is remembered at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery in Saratoga, New York.
