World War II (1939-1945)

Clifton Frederick Mott was born in Mariaville, New York, on December 9, 1905. By 1925, he was living in the town of Niskayuna in Schenectady County with his family. Before entering the military, he worked for Craig School in Niskayuna as a custodian.

On March 17, 1943, Clifton enlisted in the United States Army. He was a technical sergeant serving with the 204th Engineer Combat Battalion. On March 20, 1945, Clifton died from wounds received during battle in Germany. He is buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg.
