World War II (1939-1945)

Edmund Felton Potter Jr. was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, on November 18, 1921. In 1940, he graduated from Leominster High School before attending Wentworth Institute. Edmund then moved to Schenectady to study at Union College and to work for General Electric. 

In January 1943, Edmund enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with the 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. On November 17, 1944, Edmund was killed in battle in Germany. He is buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial in Belgium.
