Edward Paul Drozlik was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 26, 1918. In 1930, he was living with his family in the town of Rotterdam, located in Schenectady County, and after 1931, he had moved to the city of Schenectady. After graduating from Mont Pleasant High School in 1936, he enlisted in the Navy.
In 1939, Edward enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a machinist's mate third class serving with the naval air patrol. On February 1, 1941, Edward died in an automobile accident in Virginia. The death certificate indicates he was killed in this accident; however, the Schenectady Gazette reports that it was an airplane crash. He is buried in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
