Everett Hugh Keefe was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 15, 1924. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and attended Central Park Junior High and Mont Pleasant High School, where he graduated in 1942. He played baseball and basketball for St. Luke's Church on State Street, as well as baseball for the Twilight League.
Everett enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in September 1942. He was a corporal serving with the Ordnance Company, First Service Battalion, 1st Marine Division FMF. On September 19, 1944, Everett was killed during the Battle of Peleliu. He is buried at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, New York.
*Everett is remembered with a memorial window in the nave of St. Luke's Church on State Street.
