Felix Joseph Bakowski, the son of Joseph and Sophia (Olszewska) Bakowski, was born on May 30, 1921, in Schenectady, New York. His high school was Mont Pleasant.
On November 9, 1943, Felix enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with the 363rd Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division. Felix died in combat on April 26, 1945, in Florence, Italy. He is buried in the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial, Italy.
