Frank Edmund Robinson, the son of Lewis and Mary (Conner) Robinson, was born on August 6, 1897, in Schenectady, New York.

On May 6, 1916, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company F, 111th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Frank was on leave and spent the evening with his parents on August 22, 1917. Later on that evening, while Frank was accompanying a women acquaintance home, he accidentally crossed in front of a Schenectady trolley car. He is buried at Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
