Frank Grasso, the son of Nicholas and Mary (Perillo) Grasso, was born on November 24, 1898, in Ariano, Italy. He graduated from Schenectady High School and was attending Union College when he registered for the Military.
On October 3, 1918, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. Frank held the rank of Private and was a member of the Student Army Training Corps at Union College. Frank died of the flu on November 4, 1918, before he could be shipped overseas. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
