World War I (1914-1918)

Frank Grasso was born in Ariano, Italy, on November 24, 1897. It's unclear when he arrived in the United States and settled in Schenectady. He graduated from Schenectady High School and was attending Union College when he entered the Military.

On October 3, 1918, Frank enlisted in the United States Army. He was a member of the Student Army Training Corps at Union College. Before he could be shipped overseas, Frank died of the flu on November 4, 1918. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
