World War II (1939-1945)

Fred J. DeAprix was born in Utica, New York, on February 8, 1911. By 1915, he had moved to the town of Glenville in Schenectady County. Before entering the military, he worked on his father's farm.

On May 14, 1942, Fred enlisted in the United States Army. He was sent overseas in 1943, and on October 7, 1944, he was killed in combat in Italy. He is buried in the New Forest Cemetery in Utica, New York.
