George Albert, the son of William and Adabelle (Hebler) Albert, was born on July 13, 1918, in Schenectady, New York. George lived with his family in the Village of Scotia, in Schenectady County, New York. He received his diploma from Scotia Glenville High School.
On October 15, 1940, George enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Sergeant and served with Company H, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On July 9, 1944, George was killed in the Battle of Saipan. He is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii.
