George Henry Bosley, the son of Fred and Sara Bosley, was born on July 29, 1894, in Keeseville, New York. By 1912, he was residing in Schenectady with his family. Before joining the military, George worked as a machinist for the General Electric Company.
On October 5, 1917, George enlisted in the United States Army. On April 30, 1918, he was sent overseas on the Martha Washington. He held the rank of Private and served with Company A, 61st Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. On November 8, 1918, George died as a result of his wounds received during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
