George Henry Bosley was born in Keeseville, New York, on July 29, 1894. By 1912, he was living in Schenectady with his family. Before joining the military, George worked as a machinist for General Electric.
On October 5, 1917, George enlisted in the United States Army. On April 30, 1918, he was sent overseas aboard the US Army troopship Martha Washington. He was a private serving with Company A, 61st Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. On November 8, 1918, George died as a result of his wounds received during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
