Guiseppe Bianchi, the son of Gaetano and Gaetana (Marinelli) Bianchi, was born on October 29, 1887, in Petrella, Tifernina, Campobasso, Molise, Italy. On May 18, 1904, he arrived in America aboard the Citta Di Napoli, with a final destination of Schenectady.
Guiseppe enlisted in the United States Army on April 29, 1918, and was shipped overseas on June 22, 1918, aboard the USS Susquehanna. He held the rank of Private and served with Company D, 148th Infantry Regiment, 37th Infantry Division. Guiseppe died on November 1, 1918, of wounds sustained during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial, Belgium.
