Horace Donald Bradt was born in Schenectady, New York, on October 8, 1910. Before enlisting in the Army, he worked for Baker's Farm in the Village of Round Lake, Saratoga County, New York.
In February 1941, Horace enlisted in the United States Army. He was a staff sergeant serving with Company D, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. On January 15, 1945, during the Battle of the Bulge, Horace was killed in combat. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie, New York.
