James G. Carr was 33 years old when he enlisted in the Union Army on November 20, 1861, and was mustered in on November 23, 1861. He served with the 91st New York Infantry, Company G, and held the rank of Private. James went missing on June 14, 1863, during the siege of Port Hudson (May 22, 1863 - July 9, 1863).
