Jeremiah J. Sullivan, the son of Jeremiah and Mary Sullivan, was born on September 17, 1900, in Glen Falls, New York. It is unknown why Jeremiah lived in Schenectady after 1915.  

On June 28, 1917, Jeremiah enlisted in the United States Army. On May 17, 1918, he was sent overseas aboard the USS President Grant. Jeremiah held the rank of Private and served with Company E, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. On October 27, 1918, he died of wounds sustained during combat in France. Jeremiah is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glen Falls, New York.
