World War I (1914-1918)

John Androzieviez was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1894. He was living on Monroe Street in Schenectady, New York, when he entered the military. 

On October 5, 1917, John enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving with Company C, 61st Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division. John was sent overseas aboard the USS Pocahontas on April 16, 1918.  He was killed during battle in France on August 5, 1918. John is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, France.
