John James Judge, the son of Francis and Sarah Judge, was born in 1895, in Schenectady, New York. His WWI Draft Card says he was born on December 10, 1895, but the Veterans Administration Master Index says November 27, 1895. Before joining the service, he worked for the Schenectady Railway Company.

On January 31, 1918, John enlisted in the United States Army and began serving at Camp Greene in North Carolina. He was a Private in the Headquarters Company of the 7th Infantry Division. On October 5, 1918, John was killed in combat during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in St. Agnes Cemetery, Albany, New York.
