Joseph Noweck was born in Russia on March 23, 1894. It is unknown when he arrived in Schenectady. He was living on Lansing Street when he entered the military.
Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private serving in the 126th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division. Joseph was killed on October 6, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial in France.
