Michael A. Cipriano was born in Rotterdam, New York, on March 21, 1925. In June 1943, he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. Michael worked for Weiss Market on Broadway prior to joining the Army.

In June, 1943, Michael enlisted in the United States Army and was trained in Georgia and Texas. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company B, 395th Infantry Regiment, 99th Infantry Division. He was deployed in September 1944, and before moving to Germany, he served in Belgium and England. On March 15, 1945, during the Battle of Remagen, Michael was killed in combat. He is buried in the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Colonie, New York.
