About
Morgan A. Jenkins, the son of Samuel and Edna (Carpenter) Jenkins, was born on February 26, 1921, in Glen Falls, New York. It's unclear why he moved to Schenectady after 1940; he lived on Summer Street.
On November 10, 1942, Morgan enlisted in the United States Army. He was assigned to a military police battalion and held the rank of Private First Class. Morgan was stationed at Camp Pines in New York when he developed cancer. In May 1943, he was admitted to Halloran General Hospital in Richmond, New York, for treatment. Morgan passed away from cancer on August 17, 1943. He is buried in the Union Cemetery, Fort Edward, New York.
