Paul Berrian, the son of Reuben and Edna (Weller) Berrian, was born on January 26, 1916, in Columbia, Pennsylvania. He worked for the Schenectady Gazette and the General Electric Company while residing in Schenectady after 1940.

In November 1943, Paul enlisted in the United States Army and was trained at Camp Croft in South Carolina. He held the rank of Private and served with the 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division. On November 23, 1944, Paul died from wounds received in battle in France. He is buried in Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Park, Colonie, New York.
