World War II (1939-1945)

Raymond Lawrance Larrabee was born in the Village of Scotia, Schenectady County, New York, on March 10, 1920. Before working for General Electric, he was a student at Scotia Glenville High School.

In February 1944, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Croft, South Carolina. He was a private first class serving with Company F, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Raymond was killed in action on December 18, 1944, in Germany. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
