Raymond Lawrance Larrabee was born in Glenville, Schenectady County, New York, on March 10, 1920. He grew up in Glenville and was a student at Scotia-Glenville High School. Before entering the military, he worked for General Electric.
In February 1944, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He completed his basic training at Camp Croft in South Carolina. He was a private first class serving with Company F, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Raymond was killed in action on December 18, 1944, in Germany. He is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
