Raymond Stanley Kruszona Jr. was born in Schenectady, New York, on August 20, 1920. He was living with his family in the town of Scotia in Schenectady County after 1925. In 1937, he graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School, and after graduation, he worked for General Electric.
In July 1942, Raymond enlisted in the United States Army. He underwent his training at Camp Croft in South Carolina, Camp Butner in North Carolina, Camp Pickett in Virginia, and Fort Meade in Maryland. He was a sergeant serving with Machine Gun Squad, 3rd Platoon, Company C, 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division. On December 23, 1944, Raymond was killed during the Battle of the Bulge. He is buried in the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
