World War II (1939-1945)

Robert Charles Willman was born in Duanesburg, New York, on April 4, 1923. By 1930, he was living in the town of Niskayuna in Schenectady County, and in 1940, he was living in the town of Rotterdam in Schenectady County. He was a member of the 4-H Club and attended Craig School when he was younger.

On January 9, 1943, Robert enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a private serving with the 86th Bomb Squadron, 47th Bomb Group, Light. On October 7, 1944, Robert was killed in a vehicle accident in Italy. He is buried in the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial in Italy.
