World War I (1914-1918)

Stanley Alexander Hansett was born in Schenectady, New York, on June 20, 1899. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and was employed by the American Locomotive Company before entering the military.

On January 11, 1917, Stanley enlisted in the United States Navy. When he became ill while serving on the USS North Dakota, he was transported to the USS Solace, where he died on February 4, 1918. He is buried in Park View Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
