Stanley Joseph Butryn was born on May 10, 1921 in Schenectady, New York. He went to St. John the Baptist school and Nott Terrace High School, and before enlisting in the military, he worked for General Electric Company.
On October 12, 1943, Stanley enlisted in the United States Army. He held the rank of Private First Class and served with Company F, 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division. On December 6, 1944, Stanley was killed in action. He is buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
