Thomas Albert Culver was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 24, 1925. Prior to joining the military, he attended Nott Terrace High School and worked for Guy Buick Company.
On August 3, 1943, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, and in June 1944, he was sent overseas. He held the rank of Sergeant and served with the 340th Bomb Squadron, 97th Bomb Group. On September 13, 1944, Thomas went missing during a mission over Germany. He is remembered in Memory Gardens and Memorial Park, Colonie, New York.
