About

Thomas Iannuzzi was born in Fortanorosa, Avellino, Italy, in February 1896. It's unclear which is right; the Veterans Administration Master Index states he was born on February 15, 1896, and his World War I Draft card indicates February 17, 1896. When he filled out his draft card, Thomas was living in Brooklyn, New York, but when he enlisted in the army, he was living on Webster Street in Schenectady with his cousin Joseph.

On July 9, 1918, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army and was shipped overseas on the America. He was assigned to Company B, 315th Infantry Regiment, and held the rank of Corporal. Thomas died on October 10, 1918, as a result of wounds sustained during combat in France. It is unknown where he is buried.
