Victor James Giannetti was born in Schenectady, New York, on April 11, 1909. He grew up in the city of Schenectady and was a student at Nott Terrace High School. Before entering the military, he worked for the American Locomotive Company.
In August 1942, Victor enlisted in the United States Army. He was a private first class serving with the 376th Infantry Regiment, 94th Infantry Division. On January 26, 1945, Victor was killed in combat in Germany. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady, New York.
