William Edward Trombley, the son of Edgar and Ellen (Shayne) Trombley, was born on March 5, 1920, in Schenectady, New York. He earned diplomas from St. Columba's High School in 1937 and Siena College in 1941. William worked for General Electric.
William enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in July 1942 and was trained at Mitchel Field, New York and Fort Meyer, Florida. On January 12, 1943, at King City, California, William died in an aircraft accident. He is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady, New York.
